Sweet and Tart Productions was founded in 2006 by a collective of actors and directors who were eager to expand their own performance goals and possibilities. Our inaugural production, Lucky Stiff, was a great success. We hope to continue that success in the future and establish a mutually beneficial environment in which artists can feel supported and create freely. Our concentration as a company is to bring back significant and meaningful theater that has been lost or forgotten. Shows that many of us love but maybe didn’t get the recognition it was due. Our goal is to bring back these forgotten or even disregarded shows and reexamine them; give them new life and fresh vitality. We also have a strong desire to give back to our community. Therefore, a percentage of all our main stage productions will benefit a charity to correspond with the show. We strongly believe that art can and should touch the lives of others in a very deep and profound way- just as it has touched our own.
